What Tranny update?

 

With out beating the crap out of you for asking that question, it's probably been the number one topic on the 3rd GEN site since it started. if you have a 2016 Tacoma with the tow package, take your truck into the dealership. Because of the external tranny cooler, it's quite possible that you'll be 9/10 of a quart low in your tranny make it do very odd things but still not triggering a warning light. There is also a tech update that takes out a delay from 2nd to 3rd gear and so on. Some have already gotten the update before owners took possession of their truck and some didn't

I faked a tranny concern so they would check the fluid level. As I checked in and gave my VIN he said "odd, there's an update regarding the stutter you feel". Picked it up later and it's smoother, doesn't search for gears and my fuel economy is at its best ever.

 

I will have to do the same plus it actually feels weird sometimes.

 

Was yours also a quart low besides the update?

Dipped my badges yesterday, first time doing badges, very different than wheels. They didn't turn out bad, just not great. So I'll get around to doing them over sometime when I get sick of how they are.

 

Started to take them off but the top cap is a pain so I just taped them.
