Agreed, it wasn't too bad until you had to get the Plasti Dip out of those A's..

I'm a little anal about some things so today I pulled one side off and I'm re-dipping it off the truck. If it goes well I'm taking the other side off and doing the same thing. FWIW, I'd advise people who are thinking about dipping their badges to do just that. It is a lot easier and neater.

Anyone Dip the Black fender flares on the OR? Got some scratches from the trails on the fenders and want to dip them for protection. Does the dip match the original plastics? I think the Rusto dip stuff is a darker black.. just wondering if anyone has done it

Cool, I might have to give this ago. That front (and rear) "bumper" is a POS. It looks like a light tap might tear it up, so this bull bar might save me a headache! Thanks for the info sadmrhappy.

Bull bars are for looks only, they are a damage multiplier in a wreck. Anything over 5mph and it'll probably fold right into your grill and radiator.

I dipped the front but will do it again. I left too much Chrome. Thinking all but emblem now. This looks like an Audi grill now when I wanted the angry front end.

How's this holding up?? I've been searching all over for pictures of the quicksand and plastidipped rear bumper. My little brother is knocking my plastidip ideas. I want to give it a go and do a coat or two of glossifier over the top in hopes that it will look nicer, longer. Any input anyone??

I had PlastiDipped my wheels on my current car. I first did white with 4 or 5 coats and it had a rough texture to it but it was such a PITA to keep clean.

I then peeled it off and redid it. 4-5 even coats starting off light and building the layers. The more layers and heavier, the easier it is to remove later. I then put two or three coats of glossifier/clear on it. Brake dust was no issue granted my brakes were awesome. I could wipe off the dust with my fingers and it'd look great. If soap and water couldn't clean it off, a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser cleaned it off. This was after having them on for over a year. I peeled it off later with no issue after I had to get new tires since the tire machine kinda ruined the edge.

Looks like it was done at the factory. When I show people it was plastidipped they cant be lien it. Do multiple coats, maybe five or six.
