Sweet. Those screws are similar to the ones I used on my garden door beam-to-post connections. They were Timberloks, though, with the flat star head, I think around 12 inch.

Timber locks and the big grks are great. I always keep some in my screw box. Drive nicely and will pull things together almost as well as through bolting. They are what we use to temporarily set the framing on this deck I'm building. Started 2 weeks ago rain is fucking killing me.

So tonight I'm drinking beer and fixing my garage door opener, because I'm to cheap to buy a new one for my 9 foot door. Sometimes I really hate this house.

Totally missed your post. Its a 12' span. (12'x16' shed).

I did get a good start today. And made two silly mistakes. First was a simple counting error where i ended up ordering an extra 2x8x12 pressure treated board. Opps. But it works out since Ill use it to do the frame of the ramp I am planning for access to the shed.

The second mistake is more annoying since I was just stupid. I measured out pretty much every piece EXCEPT the 16' long pressure treated board. So everything is now assembled and its ~1.25" to long so the 4x8 sheets of plywood wont line up right. Like i said its an easy fix just annoying since Ill have to dig the blocks out and move them in a bit.

Anyways heres pictures. Dont mind if it doesnt look level...thats the camera operator.

    Just framed out

And laying out the plywood a bit.

Thats where it sits for tonight. Long day at work then 3.5 hours on the shed so far so bit tired now lol.

Totally random but what time do you guys consider acceptable to start hammering away and using power tools? Mind you distance to neighbors (you can see one in the picture above) is probably 200ft from worksite. Just curious since it was a topic between coworkers today. I said 830-9 but im a morning person so at that point ive been up 2-3 hours already

Whats your reasoning for that vs rafters and ceiling joists ?

Honestly....cause my knowledge on all the different options is pretty lacking and trusting things on the internet with zero experience is something im hesitant on. That and with so many different styles and methods I pretty much just picked the one type I have a little knowledge of

Im definitely open to other options though. I just really need pictures to make sure I actually understand. Googling can be spotty Im finding when searching "roof truss" or rafterss for example

No worries , either approach will work and if you're more comfortable with one over the other it makes sense to go that route

Yeah walked out on my deck, and was like you are you fucking kidding me, dude ran inside and they didn't get quieter. Called the police front desk and was told to call 911.

And @OZ-T check this out. The hook on my framer snapped off so I ordered this.https://pneuhook.com/phone/index.html
