Keep your eye on Alpin Haus, they are pretty big and are a good dealer. My family has probably bought 6 campers through them. I was finding the same year, make and model out there for $1-2k less than here. I would guess there are a lot more campers out there in general, much more rural.

We picked up a basket case of a pop-up a few years ago. $500 for a 1969 Starcraft. The interior was all falling apart but the roof and canvas are good. We gutted it, and haven't rebuilt the cabinets yet. I replaced the corners of the floor under the lifts. One lift cable needed repairs, a pulley broke. Otherwise it has been good. It's a dry place for us to sleep when we're away from home. I'd like to replace it with a small hybrid that has a shower and toilet, but we only use it 2-3 times a year right now, and I can't really justify the cost yet.

Like most we started in a tent and moved to the popup. Our first was a 300.00 Jayco that had silicone patching holes in the canvas and tape patching the screen. I replaced the canvas with a new top that included the screening. It was very easy to replace. I also replaced some of the plywood in the ceiling at the same time. Sold it for a grand and moved up to a Forest River Sandpiper.

Now's the time for camping. The weather this weekend has been... Well like summer. I was gonna say "other worldly"... But we get weather like this every year... Just took its damn time. Effing rain.

    Where was it?

I'm 99% sure I saw Alex's FJ at a rest stop in CT with a U-Haul trailer that was empty.

Fun times. Broken drive shaft on one of the buggies, I don't think there was any other carnage. I'll try to get some videos posted later.

I did totally see you parked at a rest stop in CT.

EDIT: I was in a Nissan Juke, so I was invisible. Actually, I wish I was invisible so no one could see my driving it. Honestly, the second worst car I've ever driven, and that includes some pretty terrible and beat up vehicles, and this one was almost new.

Yikes, that's the rental car? So far, my worst has been a PT Cruiser. That piece of shit has no redeeming qualities.

Yep. I thought I only had $30/day. I guess I have $50/day, but I may just deal with it for the short term.

It has no center armrest. I drove to Philadelphia without one. It was absolutely brutal. It got 31.7 MPG indicated, but yes, no center armrest and the seats had me in agony by mid-CT. There's a manumatic mode for the CVT, but it's basically useless as you can upshift but it doesn't drop the RPM while you're accelerating.

Kinda bummed I missed out. I was planning on going but i had something come up. I actually saw a white tundra double cab pulling a trailer with a large NTC sticker on the rear windshield on 495.

Thanks dude! Tundra looked nice too. Once I saw the sticker and the mud on the tires I had to give a honk haha

Ordered 10 of these and only need three. Going to wire up the AC Inverter to run when the vehicle is running so I can use this to charge my laptop and a few other items. Anyone need some? Only catch is I'm out of town until next month (possibly longer at since I'm petitioning for an extension). But first come first serve.

Edit - here's the writeup on it: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-ac-outlet-in-cab-400-watt-anytime-mod.322320/

Was I parked near the pumps, in the no parking area? Or was I in the truck parking?

Glad I didn't have to see you in a juke!
