    got ya. just thought I'd ask!

    I was thinking of doing this same thing for my truck.. use cardboard for a template.. then cut out on the CAD tables out of rubber or thin plastic. plastic would be easy.. as we have tons in stock.. its just not that thick of material. the rubber is a much better option... just not 100% sure if our tables can cut it..

    Sounds like to much work. lol. Took me all of a couple minutes to trace the template on the rubber and cut it out with a scissors.

    I found mine at my local Ace hardware, but people have been getting there's off Amazon or local stores.

    It was just some sheet rubber they had. Look back in the thread some guys order there's off Amazon.

    How about changing that alternator when it gets wet & corroded on a 4 cyl. - from the splash of the R/F wheel...I guess Toyota figures who cares, by that time the truck will be out of warrantee...

    Reviving an old thread for a first post. Joined TW over a year ago to get mod ideas and contact the OP for these splash shields. Cut them out and installed them over a year ago and still working great. Doesn't make up for the first 100k miles, but sure makes a difference going forward.

    Wow its been a while since I've seen this thread!! I'm glad to see everything is still working great. Mine is going on 4 years now with no issues. Engine bay is clean as the day I bought it!
