    Green Flash and Alpine are both little guys. If Green Flash sells to a Giant I will not continue support. I'm not against the little guy selling out, just not for supporting the buyer.

    Green Flash is hardly 'big guy' compared to AB-InBev, and Green Flash is still craft......AB-InBev is not. The quality was a little rough when Green Flash first took over Alpine, but it has improved drastically. I'm not here to sit on top of my high horse and preach that everyone should be drinking craft beer or nothing. I will occasionally drink a beer from a big brewer, say at a sporting event or a concert when that's all that's available, but on the whole, I support craft breweries 99% of the time. What I am doing is making sure everything is out in the open so the consumer can make an educated choice.

    I disagree that all or even most small breweries would take a large offer from a big brewery if it came about. There are many in the craft beer industry that would not take such an offer because of the principal of it. Do you think Stone will ever sell? I'm sure they've had multiple offers throughout the years.

    There are plenty of craft breweries that have chain distribution. Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams have chain distribution without relying on capital from big breweries. Oskar Blues just moved into all 50 states. They did it the old fashioned way by putting the money they earned back into the business to make it grow. It is possible without selling out.

    When Green Flash bought Alpine they brewed about 65k barrels and Alpine brewed about 3K so it's pretty relative to the big guy small guy. If you ask die hard Alpine fans that have been supporting Alpine since day one if the beer is the same they will all say no. I would definitely not drink terrible beer from a small local brewer just because I don't want my dollars supporting the big companies.

    If you can't get it from your dealer, there are a few San Diego liquor stores that will ship it to you. You can try Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido or Beverages 4 Less in Santee. :cheers:
