Couple of unedited shots from the drone. Got about 2.5 hrs of footage to sort through. These shots were taken about 2000' from shore at about 2.7' off the water's surface. Keep in mind they are unedited / unprocessed 4k.

eMotimo makes something very similar. I have a TB3 (discontinued) that's pretty capable. Their new Spectrum is much quieter and smoother-better for video.

I've looked at a bunch of sliders (and I mean a bunch). There are a lot of very good ones out there no doubt. I've settled on this set up since it gives me completely what I'm looking for. Not to say the others don't but for the kind of filming I do (sometimes hours / days) at a time to get that one shot this allows me the freedom to set up exactly what I'm trying to accomplish.

As of right now I've got more money than I care to even take a guess at what I have invested and I'm not even close to being done. But... It's a hobby of mine that I enjoy. Money is meant to be spent. You cannot take it with you and you are not guaranteed tomorrow. I've no problem sitting behind a lens for hours at a time, scouting out my flying area, hiking to that perfect spot and taking a few hours to set up, etc... I enjoy it.

Yes, there are a bunch today. I will say the control for iFootage uses is pretty sweet and very similar to my TB3 in that regard. I wish the Shark Slider was available when I picked up my Stage Zero, that would have been a much better solution-lighter weight too. The resistance pulley makes the motion smoother too and the Shark is lighter and easier to carry.

The counterbalance wheel is what makes it at this time. It truly is a one finger operation to keep it at a steady speed.

You know whats sad?? I have been using cameras for over 40 years. Can remember my first camera was a cheap plastic
piece of crap that probably cost 5 bux but it did take good pictures, still have some today from that camera. Anyway on to
the sad part. I have had several SLR's and DSLR's and always use auto. :anonymous: I want to learn to use them to the fullest
extent of their capabilities but just don't take the time, sad. OK, let me have it. :boink:

My current camera is a Nikon D80. I have come close to buying a newer camera but why??? if I am only gonna
    leave it on auto, pffft.lol

D80 is a good camera. I suggest you take time to fully learn all it's functions so you can pull shots like this

Otherwise you just have a point and shoot camera that's being wasted. Trust me... It's worth the time to learn and you will find a lot of enjoyment out of it. I can't tell you the last time I shot in auto mode.

Here is what the slider looks like on the tripod

It actually has feet that extend off both ends that raise it up about 6" so if you want to get low shots you can add the extensions without the use of a second tripod. If you can find a suitable place in the field then it works perfectly for that. For what I did today with the truck? Not so much. I need a second tripod.

I have two tripods. Those 6" feet would be handy from time to time.

Grabbed these a few days ago. Probably go back when i can spend more time to play around with different compositions/lighting.

Excellent shots! Really like the lighting vibe. For me, that 2nd shot is the one. I *might* see if I could go a little wider or set up a little further back to frame the falls with a little more of the rock.

    Nice work!

    Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah I could have gone a tad wider, I think I have a landscape version of the same spot I might be able to make work? But think the vertical is more fitting for that shot. It will give me good reason to go back! There's still a ton of river I want to explore I just have to bring my waders along, it was a little cold with just my shoes

Very nice! What filter did you use and how long was the shutter open?
