Went out to our cabin land yesterday to hopefully break trail, and low and behold, the roads were totally void of snow, so not much wheeling, but good day. The 1st pic, you can see North Middle Mountain (13,100ft.) and Rawah Peak in the distance.2016-05-14 014.jpg

Pictures never do steep downhills justice...also those exits onto the road were too steep to where i didn't have enough clearance....we'll talk about that later:
    IMG_5784.jpg IMG_5789.jpg
Scrub Brush, We'll see what marks stick around after a wash on both the paint and fenders...but white hides marks well!
    IMG_5792.jpg
Learned a couple things today...1. I need rock sliders, 2. Look for ALL possible exits.

Tried a couple times at different approaches to getting up a berm back onto the dirt road. bottomed out, scraped some rocks. Looked for a different exit but fences were up. tried the berm a couple more times...THEN looked further along the fence and found where someone else already cut. Gouges pictured here, with dirt:

So...a couple questions....what are our panels made of? aluminum? or a metal that will rust? any ideas on fixing? Buff it out, something to fill then touchup paint and wax?

They're steel so they will rust. You might ask Toyota for some touch up, not sure it's in stores yet, but I think that's kind of like spray on liner on the rockers and lower portion of the doors. It is on my inferno and kind of looks like it from the pictures of yours. That may be the only short term solution. If you have to have a professional do it, I'd get it done before you install the sliders. Insurance? Idk.

I'm going to Flagstaff probably on the 29th and have to be back on Memorial Day the 30th and then possibly again in August. When's the expo?

Nothing too crazy, but I finally got some dirt under my tires this weekend. I went down to Big Sur and found some camping along the Coast Ridge Trail.

That's a bitch. I've been wanting to check that out for a while. It always ends up on a weekend when I can't get away. I'm scouting talent at the racetrack this weekend, otherwise, I'd go.

It was my first time out there...lessons learned. @rileySB told me to go out there and just drive the Road...basically at the first fork where you can obviously see the road (easy way) to the right and another path(less traveled) to the left up a hill, i said....what the hell, let's see what i can do....oops. I'll pin down exactly where i went the next time i go up.

Thanks for the info! Looking into DIY or professional...since it's a small area and normally out of sight, i'm hoping for not so expensive...i'll definitely get it done before sliders...As far as insurance goes, i'd rather not raise my premium and the deductible is probably more than what it would cost to fix anyway (not sure but that's my guess)...

I was just there. How'd the lake hold up? It was a thin crust with thick slop underneath when we crossed, but was very passable if you stayed on the hardball near the rock pile. Great looking rig, btw!
