    Ah, I see.

Why wouldn't the aftermarket units fold? Seems dangerous.

Must cut down on your potential lean angle, though, if you're levering down onto a peg. I used to drag the pegs on my Suzuki all the time, without even hitting that hard of an angle. If they'd been rigid I'd have had problems.
Granted it wasn't a sportbike, but I've seen the lean angles racers hit and I'd think you'd want a folding peg to keep from hooking them. :notsure:

well if you raise the rearsets shouldn't be dragging pegs. i have rearset risers right now, but it's a pain because the shifter is a little too far for my small feet. but i haven't dragged peg since i raised them

That's fair; if you lift them to fit your stumpy legs I guess that would give you more clearance.

    What's your inseam?

I'm sure that they're gorgeous, shapely legs. But if they're less than 30 inches long they're still stumpy. :notsure:

If it makes you feel better, I wear 30 inch pants and they drag on the ground when I'm not wearing shoes, so my legs are stumpy too

Not a permanent trade, just riding around on surface streets for a while. Mines way more fun anyway.

Well i emailed wheeling cycle supply to cancel my order on saturday but i guess they didnt see the email because i just got a shipping notice. Don't care, just gonna install it now anyway. :)

It was odd because they didnt have a way for me to cancel my order through their site.

    Sold my Ninja this evening!

Now I am trying to put my 2006 GSXR 600 on my insurance (USAA uses Progressive for whatever reason) and I can't put the bike on collision OR comprehensive insurance!! WTF?

Does anyone know a good insurance company that will insure my bike with these coverages?! There wasn't a reason why my bike wasn't "applicable"...... too old? Too "dangerous"??

EDIT: Looks like I'm dropping Progressive and picking up AllState.

    EDIT AGAIN:
Well, when I went to close my account, the Progressive lady said that she could indeed put the bike in comprehensive/collision, but it was gonna cost like $1500 (no collision, comp $250 ded)-$2500 (collision $1000 ded, comp $250 ded) a year. Allstate quoted me $1054 (collision $2000 ded, comp $250 ded). No brainer...

How old are you? Or have you had a bunch of speeding tickets or something?
When I had my 636 comp/collision with $500 deductibles cost me $550/year with Progressive, on what was at that point a 2 year old bike being ridden by a 22 year old.

No speeding tickets since I was 17. I'm 25 now. I live in the heart of Nashville though, probably was factored in. Apparently quite a drastic difference compared to how it's factored into the two insurance quotes. Also I see you live in Maine, I know insurance companies factor in "riding season" as well. Longer riding season down here. :p
