Bummer. For sure want you to go. You take some great pics buddy. I had no idea we lost you man. Very sorry bout that. I was kind of leading but it was hard to keep track of everybody. If you can't make it 18th or 25th you should come with me and @SlipperyTaco Saturday on Memorial weekend.

New to this forum, but I really want to wheel with people who know what they're doing. Cause I don't. :bikewhoops:

I will say that going to either one of these dates should work for me, because I have committed Saturdays as my "wheeling day":bikewheelie2:

Have only really been going to Azusa though. It's sort of local and always people around if I were to get stuck.:ballchain:

I'm there pretty much every Saturday for over a month now and want to go someplace else. :burnrubber:

    These little characters are fun..:boom:

I hear ya @MADSTEEZE, I'm pretty new myself to 4x4...been trying to get out at least once every few weeks to up my experience. I'm closer to Rowher Flats so I've been hitting it up somewhat frequently, if you ever want a wheeling buddy just hit me up on here...I'm down to go out on most Saturdays if I'm free.

Welcome to the thread! We'd be happy to show you around. Azusa's really not so good so if you haven't been to Rowler Flats you'll have a great time for sure.We often joke Azusa's the place to go to get stuck and break your stuff.lol We had a great group this weekend. Everybody helps each other out. I know some of the guys really found out what these trucks are capable of.:headbang:

I was told about Rowher Flats. Looks like it's about 2 hours from me. I'm down to head up there this Saturday if that works for you. If not, it'll be Azusa. :sadviolin:

Azusa isn't too bad, at least not right now. Stream crossings and some fun stuff. Definitely not what you see in most pics online because there isn't any mud right now. It's just a small area and I think I've done most of what my truck can do there.

Definitely going to start journeying to different locations.

yes, it's mostly 2wd friendly unless you venture way off the beaten path toward the Bouquet Canyon Reservoir...then you start to hit the 'most difficult' trails marked 4x4 only. One cool thing about Rowher is the trails are all marked as to their level of difficulty.

I don't mean to hate on Azusa. It's just not my style. We are most likely going to Rowler May 28th and then going back again on the 18th or 25th of June for the big meet up. We made the big event in June so people got time to plan for it. Me,@SlipperyTaco , and @eon_blue are impatient so we're going May 28th also. Open Invite to all.

Well that's a Saturday also :bikewheelie2: So I should be able to make it then as well.

Yeah, I got my sister and brother in-law to bring there stock 09 200 series Land Cruiser to Azusa this past weekend. 5 weekends in a row has really minimized the excitement from it. I'd still go if nowhere else though. :goingcrazy:

Alright sounds good as long as I stick to the 2wd I'm down I'd hate to get lost and hit the 4x4 trails...my dad might come through w his 06 4runner too so I'm sure he'll be fine too correct...

haha that's exactly what happened to me and my dad when I hit up Rowher for the first time in my (new to me) '04, we got lost and I blame him entirely. I kept wanting to turn around, he kept saying "no, no..it has to loop back around at some point". Well, an hour later we were past the point of no return (trails barely wider then my truck), it was so cloudy and I couldn't see 10 feet in front of me and we were descending to steeply to back up at all. Kept going and definitely needed 4x4 and my rear locker to cross some of the ruts, bottomed out a couple times too in some dirt since I'm only stock height. Anyway, yeah....be mindful of the posted signs if you venture up the mountain trail toward the reservoir, lol. It was a lot of fun though in hindsight
