So my question would be what is the normal backspacing for a 2016 TRD offroad DCLB? The wheels I am looking at have an offset of 0 and a backspace of 4.5.

Thanks for the response. Since this is such a rare setup especially for the 2016's its hard to find people running these tires. I have made contact with a couple though. Do you have a 2nd gen or a 3rd gen?

    This.

Running 255/85/16 on stock first gen wheels. Have atleast 2inchs of lift and don't rub while off-roading. I do have the sway bar on. I don't have mud flaps. I have a front and high clearance rear bumper. May or may not affect not sure. Stock wheels are the key. As soon as you push the wheels out your rubbing on the fender. Stock wheels will keep you off the UCA unless you run wider tires.

So does anyone know the specs of the stock wheel so I can try and find a wheel as close to stock that I can?

So -25 to +35 for the offset, so I need to try and keep it within that range? The wheels I was looking at had an offset of 0. I didn't see on that link the backspacing. 4.75 is on the wheels I was looking at.

This is a good idea. Sorry @jeffreywanderson9 all the info is for a 2nd gen. Sorry about the confusion if I put any down.

I would suspect they would be easier for me to fit on my 3rd gen since they come 1 inch higher in the front than the 2nd gens?

Possibly, but I'd be talking out of my butt if I said anything else. I still feel like I've only scratched the surface learning about my truck, I would not assume any of that would be exactly the same on the '16.

My dad (upon my suggestion) put some cooper st maxx on his 2000 tundra.

He reports they are amazing. On road they're almost silent. He hasn't done anything in dirt yet though. Will relay what he says.

They are pizza cutters. Perfect tire size for New England!

started a thread in the 3rd gen section we will see how it goes. Would 255/85/16 have any more benefit than the 255/80/17 as far as the chances of rubbing goes?

Same tire size just different rim size. https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=255-85r16-255-80r17
Wouldn't spend the money on different rims unless your wanting them in the first place.
Size May vary depending on tire brand. My coopers stmax measure out to 32.xx on the truck.

Got Cooper ST Maxx's put on this morning. The sales guy made the remark "Hmm, tall and skinny." I could tell he didn't approve. Oh well, he isn't driving my truck. I can't wait to get them up in the forest.

I have OME with 886 springs (ARB bumper & Come Up winch) in the front and Dakar's in the rear. Stock OR wheels. No rubbing so far, lock to lock. I will have to get up in the mountains to see if I get when working the suspension but based on how much room there is if I get any I think it will be minimal.
