Awesome! That would be cool. You have no idea how long I spent trying to triangulate on google maps satellite and 3D views LOL. it wasn't my first choice but it should be pretty good.

Wanted to see how I fit in a 60" hammock...I think since it's 11' long it lets me lay out just as flat as a wide 9' like the eno doublenest

Other than figuring out how to set up the suspension right ($8 500lb ratchet straps...no light camping stuff haha) it was really comfortable.

that's thing about hammocks. That there a pain in the ass to set up but there also 100 times more comfortable then the ground.

I don't understand. Hammocks are incredibly easy to hang. Been using one for nearly 10 years now.

If I wasn't such a cheap ass i'd get actual suspension, but $8 for a pair of 1" ratchet straps sure beats $30+ for every other kind haha.

I am going to attempt to make the ridgeline and cont loops for my next one since 25ft of amsteel is $5 and that'll be more than enough for both.

Looks like a fun trip. Will have to see how far I can make it with young kids in the backseat.

Wrap a strap, tie a Beckett hitch. Boom. Done.

A Beckett hitch is not a well known not. Can't say I ever heard of it or used it. In all my years of scouting & knot tying.

I'll never hike to where I'll hang--at least no time soon. It'll mostly be used car camping or in the backyard which is why I decided on inexpensive ratchet straps over hanging specific stuff. While ratchet straps weigh probably 1000x as much as whoopie slings, the weight isn't a concern for me. I appreciate the offer but I'm sure they can find a better home

So...the antigravity gear setup is basically the same as my $3, 1" ratchet straps, and I'll bet it weighs within an ounce. Wonder if it costs more than $3?

What am I missing on this?

And the stretch. There's huge amounts of stretch in cargo-type straps. You may go to bed 24" off the ground but you'll wake up buttkissing the ground.
