Apple iPhone 3GS 3.1.2 HELP

Any computer whiz, hacker....whatever can help me out? I'm trying t jailbreak my iPhone. I'm well aware that I have to download "blackra1n" and all that stuff. I did all of that but I can't seem to make my phone do all those cool functions. Right now I ave it back to the factory setting

 

I used redsn0w. It has its own OS and you customize the settings of the "WinterBoard" and the "WinterBoard Store".


Make sure you have backed up your iPhone before attempting!@!!!!!

 

That's the 1st thing I did was backed it up....I thought you can't use winterboard for the 3.1.2 yet. All I want to do is customise it and have my picture show up in the app screen....nothing too fancy

 

Ok good. And I jailbroke my iPhone when it was on the 3.1.1 update(i think thats what it was). And they all should be off of the same software OS.

I cant remember exactly how it works because I had it jailbroken for about 2 months.. Until I couldnt wait anymore to get the MMS,

 

Im a new owner to my iPhone (and I LOVE it) I went on Youtube for some help/tips...I found some but those guys are way to advance for me hahaha. I need to broken to me "BARNEY STYLE" I might attemp it again but if not I'll just hand if over to someone who knows what they're doing

 

I got my iPhone in July and still love it.. I'm about to attempt this right now. Seems easier than redSn0w

 

Attempt the blackrain? It is pretty easy just download the program, plug your phone, and "let it rain". That part is pretty simple. It' the other stuff I don't get

 

yeah redsn0w was VERY difficult. And I can answer your questions as soon as i get it on my phone.

 

you'll have to run cydia and rock on it too when you install blackra1n

 

do you have the website for all of this? I want to make sure Im getting it off of the same place as you

Yah for starters then maybe move up to customizing my iPhone to how I like it
