South Carolina BS thread under new MANAGEMENT and lives in SC

He's hiccuping at the moment. He climbed my flight of stairs no problem. He normally follows me into the bathroom for my morning shit but he's content just sitting on the floor and that's weird for him

I did take him to a dog park yesterday for about an hour and a half. Ran with all the dogs and stuff they worked him down good.

He slept all last night through the night for the first time and that's when I saw the puke when I got up early to take him out when he was still sleeping, he's normally waiting on me to wake up

He's had his first round of shots and dewormer two weeks ago.

He's due for the next round of shots next week

 

How long have you had him?.. been around any other puppies.. the two major things I would be wanting to rule out is worms and parvo virus.. when I see a puppy that is v/d I always tell the owner that everything and almost every disease causes v/d so it's a fork in the road.. I would do a fecal and parvo test right off the bat

 

One vaccine doesn't do shit for a puppy.. four vaccines does.. but one vaccine and messing with other puppies will still get sick.. it takes 2-3 weeks for that one vaccine to start replicating to boost cause an immune response

 

For worms it takes 2-3 weeks for them for their life stages to be present in feces ..

 

The other thing is.. did you switch foods? Does he eat scraps off your plate?

Well without doing a slow transition of switching food it can. Cause v/d.. even an adult dogs GI tract is equivalent to a 6month old baby.. they can't digest all the things we can and it can put their body into overtime which can cause pancreatitis

 

Ah.. well shit, i guess i'll have to wait and see how he does.. he wont drink water tho either... he must be sick, with waht idk

You have two choices.. take him to a vet.. or watch him die.. your choice.. just make sure you make the bag really tight that you put his body in.. or another dog will dig him up and you will see your little buddy parts all over the yard

A dead bloated puppy that is sun baked and splits open from the the amount of maggots isn't pretty

 

Let the possum eat the maggots and then you get more protein
