The Ultimate Lift Kit, would be what I would get if I wanted to spend 1200 bucks lifting the truck... I have the front 5100s that it comes with, only I don't have the coilovers, an for the rear it has an add a leaf which plenty of people here have used to lift their trucks. The rear 5100s are a joy haha.

But have you considered the OME kit too?

You know that is not Toytec's problem, the vibrations I mean. It seems that all these second gens respond a little differently to lifts. Some people get vibrations some people don't. It seems in my research that when you get to 2.5" you are risking these kind of vibes, whether it is driveshaft, or from an off alignment, again each truck is a little different. There are a lot of people with 3" lifts that have no problems. ToyTec is putting out a quality product by quality manufacturers. I have never bought from them, but I have heard their customer service is good, and will buy from them in the future when I am ready to upgrade from just the 5100's I have now. These trucks are not made to be lifted, well let me rephrase that, Toyota did not design the angles of driveshaft and cv's to be lifted, they really shouldn't have to, they are selling a production line truck, that is very capable off the showroom floor. It is junkies like us that want to jack them up. I have heard that the engineers did a lot of work on the new 4runner with aftermarket parts and real wheeling in mind, hopefully that will rub off on the new Tacoma. In closing I don't really think you can blame ToyTec for any kind of vibe issues.

let me clarify I am not blaming toytec was just inquiring if any one had used a particular lift kit and how it worked.

I have had the Ultimate kit on my truck now almost a year. NO problems at all. No vibrations or anything else. Handles and drives just as good on road as off. I also added the LR UCA's to mine and have the TSB done. I could not reccomend this kit more. It is worth EVERY penny. There are a few pics in my gallery but they really do the truck no justice unless you see it in person. Just ask Benca1.

NO I totally understand. I want to upgrade my lift sometime in the future, and the last thing I want to d is chase a vibe around. I do think that if you go 3" that a one piece driveshaft, and uca's are really going to help eliminate any problems.

It seems that raising the rear is some of the issues...don't quote me on that but it seems like radical raising in the rear coauses some problems, that can be eliminated by the one piece driveshaft. Which is good to know that it can be fixed. I am not real sure how much a one piece driveshaft costs though...I imagine they are not cheap.

That is good to know because your truck looks really sharp, and sits up really well, perfect stance to me. Do you think you are cranked all the way up to 3'' in the front...seems to me that you are.

Not even close. In fact I was supposed to take it in last week to have the CO's adjusted but then got sick. The front has sagged a small ammount since the install close to a year ago, but most people say thats common for the springs to settle. I have at least an inch and a half to inch and 3/4 left for adjustment. I'm just going to have them adjusted till it is perfectaly level.

This kit has been great for me. I did get some vibes after I had it installed but I didn't install the shims at first. I added the shims and the CB drop and now they are gone. I was worried with lifting my 09 but it looks great and preforms great off road.

They sell just the adjustable coilover part of the Ultimate kit if you already have the 5100s. That's what I have on mine. It doesn't include the top plate. You just use the stock one.

To the OP, no vibration issues for me. Quality parts. Great company. PM Neubs for a Toytec discount.

I've been trying to find out how the Toytec Coilovers ride compared to stock TRD bilstein shocks?

On road when hitting bumps, is it just as smooth as stock, or?
