Had a visitor a few minutes ago.... I do lift kit installs and some minor repair work on Tacoma's and Jeep XJ's. That's ALL I'll work on. (I'm familiar with them and feel confident to work on them, plus keep a few parts on hand) The income from this funds my Tacoma build.

So....This guy with a 1988 Ford F150 4X4 shows up. He has heard what I work on and seems to think his dorF is "close enough". It has failed front inner axle seals and axle bearings, front wheel bearings bad, bad tie rod ends, lock out hubs that won't budge, steering U-joints that are shot, missing front drive shaft, and brakes squealing.

He wants to know how much I can fix for $250....

I suggest a friend who owns a towing service.

Then I tell him I'm having surgery in less than 24 hours. To which he replies, "So you'll be able to work on it by the weekend?"

I think my NEXT comments might have shocked him a bit. "Get your oil drippin' piece of crap out of my driveway."

    Afternoon ,

Just getting back from the VA after getting a Genicular nerve block in my right knee . Basically a nerve burn on a section of nerve in my knee to control pain in my knee

Nothing like getting large needles stuffed in my knee then electrical pulse creating a hot burning sensation as it was burning the nerve . I've got (3) bandages on my knee from where the needles were placed . Also during the procedure a larger needle that was used created a little leakage of blood . When I got off the table I was surprised on how much I bled out LOL !!

Right now I'm back home with frozen gel pads keeping the pain and swelling down . Doctor said I will experience a burning sensation pain in my knee for up to 2 weeks

During the last injection site he started the nerve burn , I immediately felt an intense very hot burning sensation . I told the surgeon it's very uncomfortable and really hurts . His response was that sensation should disappear in a moment , You've got 1 min 45 seconds left until the pain subsides

I've had a series of 5 large needle injections in my right knee filled with chicken lips a few months after they cleaned up the meniscus Two years back. That was painful enough! I wish you the best!

Sorta like a condemned man's last meal..... No solid foods after 1PM today. So, dinner is lemon jello and chicken broth. You're talking to a steak and potato's kinda guy. This ain't cuttin' it. Nothing, not even water after midnight. Next real meal (if you consider hospital food "real") will be tomorrow evening. "Evac" is done. Going to sleep (if I can) around 7:30 or 8. It will probably be Thursday or Friday before y'all hear from me again.
