What is your lift set-up? Unless I haven't read far enough ahead. Playing catch up.

You wrote "dealer said the trans fuild was topped off when sold to me because Toyota was aware of the issue". Ask them to show you documentation from their service dept, their pre-check actvities. Everything dealer does should be documented. They can look up in their system by your VIN.
For grins ask first "how much fluid did you add?"

Has anyone heard of the following, got a mail from Toyota yesterday asking for my input. Waste of time or not.

We would like to invite you to the Toyota Owners' Intersection - a community of select Toyota owners who are directly involved in the ongoing evaluation and development of Toyota products and services. The goal of this community is to make the ownership experience even better for all Toyota owners.

What does this do? What is your impetus for it, and how is this useful?

They are the extended travel ones. Supposedly they have the same compressed length, so it shouldn't be too bad to install. We'll see! I'll post a link to the build thread after I put them on this weekend.

I got this. Straight to file 13. Like a typical 'Merican I don't have time for surveys. They should do test groups. Give people free Tacoma's for six months to a year. If it were TW people we would get the "tank" of trucks at time of production.

Well that's what I was thinking , but then again I could send them everything I've ever read about that is a problem here on TW. I COULD GIVE THEM A EAR FULL IF IT WOULD DO ANY GOOD

They read this forum. If you're not going, send it to @smugly. He's got some serious input.
