Broscience. Your calves look bigger if you wear long socks to make your legs appear shorter

So, we're probably around the same body type. After a cut, I am usually around 10-11% and at the end of a bulk, I can be up to 16-17%...I'm really trying to work on disciplining myself on my cuts to try to get to single-digit body fat, but the weekends kill me with alcohol and the occasional bad meal.

Anyway, I think if you make a diet around 3300-3500 calories, you should gain lean mass. If after a week, the scale doesn't move, add about 200 calories for a week and see what happens. If you wanna stay lean, you don't wanna gain more than 1 lb per week.

Ok props to people who get good pics of their calves cause that's not easy. Haha

Ive never really lifted for calves before. I've only ever needed them to jump high I guess. I just play basketball and im really lean and pretty vascular so yay for veins.

You do realize the running is the easy part? And again like I told you via text. I'm not doing this to race. I'm doing it to train and to prove to myself I can do it. Next year I'll run to race

Fiinnnnnnaaaalllly got into the gym after 6 days off. Did chestntris and some cardio....you read it right...I did cardio. I did a little HIIT on the treadmill for about 15 mins. I set it at a 15 degree incline and did 1 minute walking at 2.5 mph and then 30 secs running at 5-6 mph. It killed me. What do you bros prefer to do for cardio? I'm an HIIT fan b/c it's quick. I'm gonna try to do either treadmill, bike, jumprope, or punching bag for about 15 mins after my workouts twice per week (probably not on leg day or back day b/c those are my most intense days). I know some folks prefer LISS, but I'd rather drag my balls over broken glass than do cardio for 30+ mins. Goal isn't to burn a shit-ton of calories or increase stamina...I just want to be able to play pick-up games of baseball or work in the garden without feeling my heartbeat in my eyeballs. Here's what I did today:

    incline bench: 135x15, 225x8, 185x10, 135x15
decline bench: 4 sets of 8-15
flat bench flys: 4 sets of 3-10 (I did 100 lb dumbbells for the first time ever and got them up and did 4 solid presses. I could've gotten 2-3 more, but I didn't have a spot...heavy dumbbell presses are fun)
pec dec flys: drop sets til failure @ around 10-15 reps

    v-grip pushdowns: 3 sets of 8-10
overhead rope triceps extensions: 3 sets of 10-12
machine triceps extensions: drop sets til failure @ around 10-25 reps

    cardio

Nope, but most of us are on the Mr. Hyde train right now. Some like it, some don't. I love it. It's cheap and has like 420 mg caffeine.

I never run, I was just worried about making it the whole way without passing out. Lmao.

I feel pretty confident that by the end of the summer I'll be alright on the obstacles.
