    Oven Baked Carmel French Toast

    Oven Baked Carmel French Toast
    Add Ingredient Add Divider [​IMG]
    Ingredients
    French Toast
    1 cup brown sugar [​IMG][​IMG]
    1/2 cup butter [​IMG][​IMG]
    2 TBS light corn syrup [​IMG][​IMG]
    1 cup optional chopped nuts [​IMG][​IMG]
    12-18 slices Italian, French or Cinamon Swirl bread [​IMG][​IMG]
    6 eggs [​IMG][​IMG]
    1.5 cups of milk [​IMG][​IMG]
    1 tsp vanilla [​IMG][​IMG]
    1/4 tsp nutmeg [​IMG][​IMG]
    1.5 tsp cinnamon [​IMG][​IMG]
    1/4 tsp salt [​IMG][​IMG]
    Carmel Sauce
    1/2 cup brown sugar [​IMG][​IMG]
    1/4 cup butter [​IMG][​IMG]
    1 TBS syrup [​IMG][​IMG]

    Add Cooking Step [​IMG]
    Directions
    1. Combine sugar, butter and syrup in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until thickened [​IMG][​IMG]
    2. Pour into a 9x13 pan [​IMG][​IMG]
    3. Place 6-9 slices of bread and sprinkle with nuts if using [​IMG][​IMG]
    4. Top with remaining 6-9 slices of bread [​IMG][​IMG]
    5. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a blender
    [​IMG][​IMG]
    6. Pour over bread and chill 8hrs [​IMG][​IMG]
    7. Bake uncovered 350 degrees 40-45 minutes [​IMG][​IMG]
    8. Drizzle with Carmel Sauce [​IMG][​IMG]
    9. SAUCE DIRECTIONS [​IMG][​IMG]
    10. Combine all ingredients and cook until thickened [​IMG][​IMG]
