Oh and if you have long plumbing runs from your HWT location and fixture , consider a dedicated recirc return line and use one of these Grundfos pumps , we ran the dedicated recirc line to our kitchen sink / washing machine / laundry tub branch but didn't install the pump because I wasn't sure how bad it would be , we just installed the recirc pump a couple weeks ago , works great and our power consumption daily average actually went down

Oh ya of course, she was there and brought it up because the cable lines are installed by a diff guy.

Ill look into that, we'll have to put a water softener in on our own as well.

 

Make sure your hot water and any recirc lines are insulated

 

I had a hot water rec pump installed and it sucked ass, had to file warranty cause the hot water would not last long for a 50 gal tank, so they came and replaced it with a digital one where it "supposed" to figure out your water schedule based on a few days. Also the didn't insulate the lines so I know its wasted energy when flowing in and out of the water tank

Not sure what you mean about " the hot water wouldn't last long for a 50 gallon tank " , you mean you had an issue with the tank ?

 

Got my holes filled, giggity. Drywall is up, going up today to see if floors are in yet. Should be done in 3 weeks.
