The POR is a good option. My buddy did that on his entire CJ-7 tub and it has held up well to trail abuse. Plus it's really easy to patch if you damage a section. I personally went with Herculiner because it's what I had and it is doing well. Tons of DIY options out there if you're willing to spend a little elbow grease and time.

I've seen where POR15 didn't like sticking to fresh bare metal. There may be some specific needs for prepping it, but typically that stuff is applied to old well worn under bodies and what not. Hell, it's even designed to be applied on top of rust (Paint Over Rust). Just make sure you do a little research about how to prep the surface, I'm sure somewhere there are instructions for new bare metal POR15 application.

Yes there are specific instructions from POR for applying directly over bare new metal. Best bet is to buy the kit from them. Basically, you need a degreaser, an etcher, and then the POR, and then some type of top coat (POR-15 breaks down if exposed to UV rays).

Went and got a quote from the local Line-X shop across the street from my work today and with the Line-X Platinum, it'll be $150 total, so I'm going to go that route.

Finally got a chance to install my sliders today. I'll count it as a workout both physical in mental. These are beastly and took alot of patience to get them on right. All in all a few hours and I was done. Couple tips, definitely get the square/nut mounted washer in place before you line them up, you definitely have to remove and relocate a couple of wires (zip ties worked), the drivers side is harder to do than the passenger, and last the last bolt by the gas tank does not seem like it will fit without taking off the gas tank (which I did not wanna mess around with) so I used a smaller alternative and got it attached. Solid as hell. Great job @mobtownoffroad

Went online and don't have the option for powder coating. Is there any way I could get a quote with powder coat. I'll be picking up locally

Likely it's hard to keep them from getting scratched when shipping via freight without some significant cost to improve packing. You can probably find a local shop to powder coat for you.

We can do it for local pickup. We did stop offering it because it is very, very tough to ship them properly without having the powder coat damaged. We take great care in packaging them an somehow they still get messed up. Trucking companies are notorious for stacking pallets on pallets to move, store and ship through terminals and in trucks. We label skids not to be stacked, they still do it.

Picked mine up today from the shipping dock!!!! Dropped them off to be media blasted, then Line-x premium will be sprayed. Should have them sometime next week.

Also, Joe is a great guy and runs a stand up business. I can't put into words how good his customer service is. If you don't know who to order from or are on the fence picking a company to choose from, you would be crazy not to go with MobTown. Not all sliders or businessmen are alike and I can tell you first hand these guys are 2nd to none.

    Thanks MobTown!

Line-x done! Now, to muscle these bad boys on to the truck this weekend. Any tips or tricks from those that have done the install?

Looking good! That's exactly how I ordered mine, now I'm all jealous that I still have to wait 2-4 more weeks.

Do they not have some comprehensive install instructions?
