    Ok cool I'll roll with that. I just read something that said someone was told by their dealership that a coolant replacement only calls for 6.7L so I may not be as far off as I think. But yeah ill do that. I also went ahead and bought a new alternator. Just got the stock one from Rock Auto. With our discount it came out to $198 with a $60 core charge. With brand new batteries and a brand new alternator, although still 80amp, I should be fine for awhile still and I know this one will take underwater abuse

    there probably was residual water after we flushed the engine, because i didn't reopen the block drain. But it's no big deal because it's just water. The radiator cap is the highest point of the cooling system, so leaving the cap off and running it for a bit will force the air up and out. Let it cool down, top it off, the top your expansion tank.

    Haven't changed the coolant since I bought the truck feb. 08, my radiator was a solid block of clay and my water pump started leaking. So funky coolant, no air flow and an air leak causing pressure loss all equal 240° temp readings. Just testing the quality of my amsol oil is all. Haha my ac condenser is still a block of clay so I'm still counting on higher temps during highway driving when I'm running 3k rpms and half throttle but I can't imagine I see more then something like 210 which is acceptable to me. I'm hoping with the new alternator combined with cooler temps that I get some power back as well. We all know I need all the power I can get. Haha

    The jugs that you got are already a pre-mixed 50/50. It's not that crucial for the climate we live in. You're probably only at something like 46/54. We have to mix bmw's 50/50 our selves.... so it's never really 50/50 :anonymous:
