You can get most options the Limited has on the TRD Sport. For serious time in the bush I would go for the O/R as it has crawl control that can't be had on any other model. It's all about preference and what fits your lifestyle. Good luck with your purchase, no matter what you choose you'll have a solid truck!
Make sure you return to show it off and get some bragging rights.

Configuring your cab bed choice can change your options too, I wanted a doublecab off-road but only available in access cab, so had to get a sport, was going to wait for a pro but I think it will be too spendy for me, if off roading and spending limited money I would go for the pro personally

When it comes to Canada it will be offered in both manual and Auto. Although the Manuals will be harder to get as they will limit how many are released and a lot of dealers play it safe and only order Automatics. We try to get more Manuals though because we have a larger Tacoma client base.

Just so you are aware, the 2017 Limited models will be like the US ones with the 5' box next year. We are still waiting to hear for sure if we are getting the double cab Off-road model for 2017. We should know more before July.

Canada getting a double cab off road model short bed or long bed...... I will believe it when I see it. I just dont have faith in Toyota Canada to deliver this.

Apparently you cannot acquire a double cab in Quicksand? Only the access cab?

Seems like straight nonsense to me; is this a Canada only thing?

Also I hope the Limited will come with the nice 18 inch wheels the Americans get. Never could figure out why Toyota Canada cheaped out with 17" wheels for 44k.

    I am poor
Lots of quirks in the Canadian configurations.. hopefully more options going forward.

What site/sites do you guys use for accessories? Mainly looking for tonneau cover but just curious if there's sites I've missed.

I have a friend of a friend that works for Stampede Toyota in Calgary so I dealt with him. They also took over service on my FRS and have been nothing but helpful and professional

Mike is not way off on what is changing with the model lineup for '17, but not exactly right. July timing is correct, but stay tuned! More than one addition to the lineup is anticipated...

It is a bit frustrating, but yes, it only comes on the access cab because it is specific to the off-road. The idea is that appeals to the off-road crowd mostly, which is true! Quicksand is currently available on TRD Pro Tundra, and nobody buys it (get one while you can!). Polarizing colour to the general public...

The truck, like you just mentioned, is pushing 44k and you would be adding additional cost on top of that. It adds up and you get even closer to a nicely equipped Tundra. I agree, there should be some differentiation, even if it is a different style.

This is not something that has been released to the public, Mike.
