Love this little truck. It's a great setup for every thing I need it to do. The lower stance makes it easy to load my kayaks or farm tools. It goes off-road on my farm to get to my pond or my hidden blueberry and blackberry bushes. The 6 foot bed holds my DR field and brush cutter without removing my tool box. I've owned several tundras and first gen 4x4s which were all great trucks but this truck fits me well for this time in my life. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

I like that setup too. 2wd, single cab, short bed. 4cyl & 5spd are a must. Had a Nissan with that setup for years and it was awesome. As much as I like my 4x4's for the winters around here, as a short guy I really miss having a little 2wd that I could actually reach over the bedrails with.

not short bed. bed = 6 ft. short bed = 5 ft. Those don't come on reg cabs........nice truck nice chores it has. No need to spend 10k on mods to bury it in mud or break shit crawling over boulders and shit to have a little fun offroad.

Also, no need for stepladder to reach spots under the hood.....but might have to jack it up a bit for oil changes.

    True.

I grew up with full-size American-made work trucks. Everything always had 8 foot beds. Two of my current trucks also have 8 footers. To me a 6 footer is a short bed. The beds they put on the DCSB's are like vestigial tails, lol.

Pond is undergoing a restocking process. Currently only has snapping turtles and frogs in it. Been eating the snapping turtles so the population is going down and might try frog legs this summer. Starting now adding forage fish (shiners & Bluegills) next summer the predators go in (large mouth bass). It's a spring fed pond that stay full year round no matter how little the rainfall.
