Dents in roof from poorly loaded canoe. Broken side mirror from blown transfer truck tire. Scuffed up front bumper from thinking I was still in a corolla. Graham cracker embedded upholstery from a crazy kid.
That sounds like an answer that someone hiding information would give. I think swimmer knows about the trans update.

He is referring to the transmission update for trucks with the 2.7L. That's been out for several months.

Question, anyone else here notice their displayed total mileage per tank change from when you first got your Tacoma? Before, after every fill up, the display would read, 385 miles until empty, last two times filling up, the display now reads 365 miles until empty.

I had 365 when i drove it off the lot from the dealership. I keep forgetting to check when i fill the tank, but i find that different gas stations will fill it up slightly more or less - QT for example puts it at 377 for me.

It takes the average mileage per tank and does maths and shit. So when you fill up it estimates what 'you' will get out of the tank. FM!

My typical commute is very stop and go through neighborhoods and such.... My tank mileage is dogshit and is down to about 300 to E.

Had it since February and it's at 6900 miles. Taking a 2,000 road trip in June so I expect to have over 10,000 by the end of June.

So what is your cost of ownership to date? Anything of note outside of oil changes? Love to hear more. I drive 3000/month so curious what others are seeing.

So far 55$ x 2 for oil change/ tire rotation at the dealership. No other expenses so far except for car washes. Earlier i bought hids fogs and led high beams and had a shop fab a lip protector for the tailgate. The stock Hankook tires have maybe another 10k to 15k or so on them. Have lifetime tires at the dealership only have to pay for them putting them on or the extra $ if I decide to put on a more expensive tire.

2.7 Auto access cab 4x4. I can get over 20mpg all day if I drive speed limit. The lowest I have seen is around 16mpg driving really heavy footed.
