Bishop area is very nice place for wheeling. I lived there for 25 years.

Yea we get a LOT of hate from the 2nd gen guys. I can't tell if it's jealousy or a desperate attempt to maintain their ego by trying to verify how much better the 2nd gen is. I mean I love 2nd gens but the 3rd gen is a great truck. Anyway I digress.

I think my dog is trying to tell me she wants to go for a ride in the taco:

I owned a 2003 for 14 years and was not hesitant at all to dive into a 2016. So far I am totally crazy about the truck. Can not say enough good stuff. The other day I stopped at a 4 way stop and a guy in a Tacoma (across from me) had his arms out and was bowing to me. LOL and he had a damn nice looking truck. I have been approached by other owners who go nuts looking at mine.

The other day happened to park next to another pickup and wasn't paying any attention to what it was. After a few seconds I hear some guy say "Hey, Hello little brother." I look over and it was the guy in the truck next to me, a Tundra!

Put 5K miles on my 16 TRD Sport 4 X 4 DCSB with the 6 spd. auto trans. and haven't had any of these problems. All I get is a bit of exhaust noise on acceleration but that's "good" noise!

Someone in another thread was saying if you use the sport shift for normal driving it shifts much nicer. I started doing that, just driving it around daily it does seem to shift a lot nicer if you just bump it over to the left after you put it in drive and set it at S5 for in town or S6 for the highway.

I am getting 21mpg city driving. I have 2,900 miles on the truck.I am using 100% fuel,no Ethanol. It helps the Trans also from constantly downshifting and keeps it in a higher gear.100% fuel has more energy and I get better mileage because of it. Its .20 cents more a gallon though.I get around 450 miles per tank.IMG_20160518_115126.jpg

Ok so my wife wasn't totally sold on the Quicksand color... I told her to trust me and let me put some magical touches to it. So after some minor mods: front suspension, de-badged, grill, rims, pod lights, Toyota decals, and a few others. I received her stamp of approval!!!!

So I've decided to start the long road to transforming the taco to an Overlander.

I think it's an off road that they put a sport hood on and a custom grill. On second thought after looking at the fog light bezels it very well could be a pro. I didnt think they were going to do them in BBP

I think your right, the wheels are OR wheels. But it looks like they put the rigid fog lights on it.
