Bookmarked that stuff. Might try to make my own sheet metal tailgate replacement cover. That plastic sheet took a beating when I kept loading up my snowblower in the bed.

I have heard that of some of some brands (Kodiak was the one I was told to stay away from) but others are designed different. I've seen 10-12 yo Roo's that were very solid and no damage at all. On the other end of the spectrum I have seen 2-3 yo regular travel trailers that had major problems with water damage. So who really knows. Just beware of what you're spending your money on.

 

Paul, you'll be fine. But if you get lost just find a populated area near a little side street, stand on the hood of your rental waving your wallet/cash in the air and call out you need directions!

Bought a bunch of stuff before I even picked up the truck. Had I known all that I know now.. Half the stupid stuff I bought would be used towards skids/sliders/wheels/tires

 

I hear ya. That would be like me buying stuff for a EVO

Spending so much on my evo has honestly become one of the biggest financial mistakes ever. I can't drive it in the winter and it see's about 1500 miles a year tops. Its a blast to drive, but maintenance is a killer with the race clutch and lack of driving...

I have one voodoo bed brace that goes from one oem cleat to the other. I bought a set of two but only use one. The other just well it's a great stand in my basement right now. OEM toyota rubber mats since i bought weathertechs. I also need to make bed braces that mount to the rails so I can have higher tiedowns up front. Probably design those up in CAD soon and have them banged out in the machine shop.
