That's some bum luck, dude. Hope that heals quick and the winds turn in your favor!

I was amazed how once the cutting wheel made contact with the fender it was all #YOLO from there on out.

I'm not sure how much cutting actually happened. Davis gets drunk after a beer, then sits under his truck wondering why he made the poor decision to move from a 1st gen to a 2nd.

They aren't bad tires, just not the best in the snow with such a hard compound... Did you get the Open Country?

    Happy to help.

And by help I mean help you mark your cuts (possibly correctly), hand you one of the beers (which you purchased and brought over), lend you tools, offer you (bad?) advice, and laugh if and when you hurt yourself.

And maybe take a picture or two to use for making fun of you on these forums.

Yeah it was those or the BFG's. But my truck only has 24k on it and the rears are bald. Due to the previous owner but either way. 24 k is not that many miles so I stayed away.

How about anything you would have done differently? I have all the tools probably just overthinking it.

The cut for the Pelfreybilt rear is fairly straightforward. Just take a few strips of tape and measure down from the top of the bed to the bottom of the tail light and mark that distance across the fender to make sure you're straight, and cut away.

Get some door edge trim to cover the edge after making the cut, maybe put a bead of silicone in it to keep moisture out and help it stay on.

Spray some penetrating oil like PB Blaster on the frame bolts holding the rear bumper and hitch a day or two before the install.

Bring an extra cutoff disc just in case.

Wear safety glasses. Or a face mask.

    Have a good time
