Glad to hear you are alive and breathing! :) We should probably PM everyone's cell phone numbers when we do these runs. That would allow us to know we're not leaving any man out on the trail. :)

    dang souds like fun...

I'm one of those 4x4s that didn't go through all the bypasses.

but again I'm not an idiot... when I have protection I will be all over that...
I can't afford to reck a 30k truck without proper equipment....you guys will understand when you hit your sliders..

I was out wheeling with a friend in the rain...2 days before his sliders were put on and he damaged the side of his truck.

I am up for another run though...plus my rugged fails are still on my truck

I hear you man. Ive hit my sliders at least 3x already, and JD slammed down on his pretty hard last night. That would suck to see your truck experience the same thing, without sliders .

HBM: I wish I wouldve known, I wouldve totally been up for a backwards run. Next time.

You know, sometimes I have mixed emotions about doing the TW runs.

We always have a diverse crowd and by the end of the runs my prejudices wane and I meet some good dudes! It's tough to throw a party with so many different peeps sometimes but that is also the beauty of it!

My suggestions (I will get the one that I am most guilty of first)

We should all have working, tuned radios (a minimum of a CB) - I am the rudest of any of the offenders - I should know - I have $400-500 worth of comm equipment and none of it hooked up and tuned. All I can say is WTF!!! :(

The other point is to exchange numbers - It would have been horible to find out that Paul (straycat) was down from one of his famous jumps! and no one knew until the following day!!!

The other point is that I think 2 or 3 groups are fine - it usually reduces stress for the participants. But we REALLY need to account for everyone before we leave the mountain.

One last note - The first time I rolled with TW, we all got together afterwards to grab a bite & shoot the shit. I think thats a good tradition.

CB will be a must on trips that I organize for sure...there were just so many times people didn't have them and we get lost or in trouble. I think having 4-6(Max) is a good number of trucks. So many trucks take just too long on trails.

If anyone need to get their CBs tuned just let me know I have a SWR meter.

For OC people contact Manny cause he has one too.

Good looking out Roland... How is yours working now? Ours worked great once we tuned it right...there was too much interference at mod day to get them tuned correctly. I was at an empty lot in the middle of the night to tune mine.

    I like paul's ideas.

If you want to roll, you need a tuned cb. Those that want to roll and don't have one need to stick together and do their own thing. We will not be responsible.

Whoever organizes the meet, everyone will pm thhat person their number. And then that person can send them out amongst attendees.

Next cleghorn run will definitely be backwards.

    And food after!!!!

A tuned antenna will allow you to transmit better. If you can't hear anyone that means their antennas need tuning.

I know i sucked. lol. Im one of those 4x4 that chicked out on the bypasses:anonymous:. Kinda hard to concentrate when my girlfriend is grabbing my arm cus she is scared. The one bypass where your goin downhill and make a sharp right turn, I admit, that made me sweat. ( first time there )
But it was fun watch ya'll do what I was scared to do.lol
