Mine went up 1/4" in the rear with the new springs - measured before and after the install.

This is what I've always thought and went by. But a few who've had it done have then had alignment issues. So because they ended up keeping mine over night because parts didn't show up on time. I asked them to throw in an alignment for my troubles. Which they did.
I'm 90% sure I had 4 clips on my 2+1 springs. I called my dealer when I got the final letter. They said ok, and scheduled me for replacement. No inspection. :notsure:

Has anyone confirmed whether TSB springs are being replaced with the same recall spring as the 2+1 springs? I missed out on the TSB, but would want the stiffest spring, if there was a choice.

Had my inspection here in NC this week and springs are on order. I got the impression I was one of the first to request this recall at my dealer because my service advisor wasn't much help. He knew nothing about this recall. After 1.5 hours at the dealership, he tried to tell me a remedy wasnt available yet. The tech corrected him and ordered springs. The tech said they would be 4 leaf. The service advisors incompetence reminded me why my truck has only been to the dealer for recall work and all PM is done in my garage.

You had better luck than me. I couldn't convince my dealer to do that. They made me come in for the inspection.

So you have an AAL and they turned you down? If you want it done, then I'd try another dealer or call corporate.

Has anyone whos gone in for the inspection and gotten turned down for replacement been able to figure out a way to get it? Maybe by going to a different dealer? or calling Toyota? I still have the old OEM 2+1 springs.

Well, I was wondering about this when I saw a few references to having front end alignment done. I'm going to ask if that will be taken care of when I call the dealership.

Yeah, when I dropped it off the guy assured me it didn't need it and they didn't do them. He said we've never had anyone come back. So I said ok. But I will be back if it's out. But then had the parts not being there issue. So I politely accepted one on their dime for my troubles. At least I had a loaner.

    Supposedly they're going by this...

This was posted in another thread. I guess check your clips. :notsure:

I said before that I'm 90% sure I had the 4 clips, but mine were replaced. But I also didn't have to go through the inspection. Just made my appointment for replacement and they did it.

I had to remove my AAL and go back for inspection. Tried to appeal to Toyota corporate, but they were no help at all.
