It will also help to use two different color tapes. One for protecting the paint and one as a guide for cutting.

@chenbro and @SilverGhost are spot on. Mine's a BruteForce, not a Pelfreybilt, but I think they install very similarly.

It's really pretty straight forward. I bet if you searched out pelfreybilt high clearance rear on this site you'd find a bunch of install threads. Might be some good info to be gleaned from there.

One thing I know is that it's good to have a gap. Our frames flex quite a bit offroad and while a nice little 1/8" gap might look good on a mall crawler, it's asking for trouble when you go wheeling. I'd leave a 1/2" gap at least.

If you want to bring your pile over, I really would be happy to help you out.

Well the jerry cans are rusted pretty bad on the inside. So I guess i'll have to go a different route for fuel....

I just checked them. They need work and I don't have time to get to them. I want to make sure they are spot less before I run fuel from those cans. New motor and all.

Any one want a set of weld on sliders for a second gen double cab short bed?? Long story short i have a spare set built and ready for paint. Would be nice if you wanted them next week so i have some more money for the moab fund. :D

They are new sliders and are at normal tacoma world pricing. Just made an extra one and if any one wanted to buy them and have them now.

This is what they look like. And are all DOM steel and box tube.

Is that something that exists? But I'm flying, no truck.

Although riding in my cousins new Colorado... It seems to be a pretty nice truck, and so quiet on the highway.

Hey 2016's!!! I was looking at a 16 the other day and noticed how the spare is against the mount. I highly recommend you guys put something between the sidewall of your tire and the metal mount there. With vibration the tire mount will rub through the sidewall no matter how tight it is. It will save your spare.

Yeah us 1st gens had the same issue. I remembering pulling the spare and seeing the wear. But the 16 are worse then the 1st gens.
