    Been doing clean&press for about 3 weeks now to change up my usual shoulder days. Starting to feel pretty good about the weight I can push up, but want to see what ya'll think is a respectable weight for this exercise before I try and boast about it.

    Keep in mind that I am 5"9' 170#. My 1RM squat is 350#, dead 365# and bench 290# (when are we going to get a stat field added to our profiles for this thread :muscleflexing:)...

    Yep...double-edged sword for sure. If you're trying to "cut" or lose weight, caffeine is essential IMO. I treat it just like any other supplement/nutrient. Just like my goal is 200g of protein a day, I have a goal of 200mg caffeine a day.

    Lol I consume that before 10am. My morning coffee is about 320mg and my pre is about 420mg, so on a lifting day (4 days per week, my caffeine intake is around 740mg.

    Ha it's not bad at all. I go to bed around 11:30pm and wake up around 7:30 with no issues. I've been drinking coffee since high school, so I guess I've just built up a tolerance :notsure:

    Idk i drink a ton of caffeine to but I don't add it up. Been drinking like 2 cups of coffee before workout and prolly 3 sugar free red bulls at night at work. Work nights, so sleep schedule is effed anyways. The coffe stopped doing it for me so I bought a pre but even that isn't doing it really either. Idk maybe it's low carbs right now. What do you guys do for pre workout meal? I'm eating banana and 2 low sugar oatmeal packets.

    Okay after going back and double-checking, I was wrong. The first website I checked said 14 oz of Dunkin Donuts Original Blend was 320mg, but it's actually like 178mg, which is in-line with most other brands of coffee. So, making up for that correction, on non-lifting days, I consume about 178mg caffeine and on my 4 lifting days, I consume 590mg. That Mr. Hyde doesn't fuck around when it comes to caffeine.
