Yeah, but let's see you parallel park that behemoth.

Hate that about the new full-sized trucks. Like driving a damn house.

But since they're such large trucks it's hard to find a space big enough.

That is one thing I miss about having a smaller vehicle; Parallel parking was a breeze. You could always find a spot that was big enough.

The more skids and armor you have the easier parking gets!

I almost parallel park better than anything else driving, which is odd because I rarely have to.

The Rav4 is mindless to park, feels like I'm just driving the cab of my truck

The '69 is the worst vehicle to parallel park that I've ever owned. Sightlines are excellent, but it's got an 8 foot bed at the back and no power steering at the front. So it's an arm workout to lever it in there, unless you want to try parallel parking at 20MPH, haha!

My first truck was like that. No power steering is a lot of fun when you get the back end fish tailing in slippery conditions! Fortunately, where I grew up, there really wasn't a need to parallel park.

My '87 Nissan pickup didn't have power steering, but parking it was a lot easier. Probably because the dinky little 4 cylinder and IFS it had in the front weighed a lot less than the V-8 and I-Beam front axle in the '69 do.

Huh weird, guess they don't like that slinky effect when you drive over the Bourne Bridge haha.
