Anyone planning on breaking a diff again this year?

    I have a couple of spare 8" thirds I could bring. Probably 4.10 and/or 4.30s.

A small handful of select mods.
I don't think that is ever planned but if they aren't too much trouble to bring I am sure someone would gladly compensate you for them if they should need one.

It's always a bummer to see someone come a log way and they have to wait around with their truck up on jack stands.

Now a more serious question, I know the 1st gen Tacos were 8" rear, but were the later ones? i.e. how many people will actually be running an 8" anyway?

    I'll have the following with me;

    - (2) 8.4" thirds (Open 3.73)
    - (1) 8.0" front clamshell with a bad actuator
    - A set of 4.10 ring and pinions, front and rear with the correct front carrier
    - Rear driveshaft (cut to length for a crawl box)
    - (3) CV's
    - Inner and outer tierods
    - Couple of U-joints
    - Rear axle shaft and drum assembly
    - 8.4 axle housing

We'll see if that's enough to keep me rolling for at least a day or two.

Mine are both cut to length now.

But, the rear section is the same length. Worse comes to worse you could hodge podge something together.

Shit happens. One way or another we'll keep wheeling.

By the way, is there a convenient spot to get C02 tanks filled in town? I may not be able to get mine filled before leaving.

    Yes.
@SMKYTXN if you've got room, and would be up for it, I'd love to ride shotgun on some of the more intense trails while we're out there.

I plan on taking it easy since I'll need to drive the breakfast taco back to Bastrop, TX when this is over. :)

Oh, and.... I think I'm ready for the Rimrocker Trail to get there at least. :)

    Yes.
My Hotel Checkout in Littleton is on that Friday. Departing on the Rimrocker Saturday works for me. I'll just need to figure out where I'm sleeping Friday night.

I've actually got to get ready this Saturday, so I can haul all my crap the 950 miles to Littleton on Sunday morning. I'm sure the Hyatt is going to love it when I carry three big Plano lockers, a tent, a table, and four Jerry cans into my room.
