They're just so useful and make trucks look like trucks. My motivation was this one but without the stacks ec4c98688c06654d3a6de7ebc10d494c_be37dc45fe8e4e81779eaa2ea77e70709ad8e91e.jpg

alright so im getting frustrated. i have water coming into my cab during the rain and i cant seem to find where. the carpet is out and i put silicone around the rubber floor grommets and firewall cracks (the small bolts that go in from the firewall). also lost the lower grommets in the firewall near the cab mount. does anyone know the part number for those? i dont think thats how water is getting in though seeing as how its a channel under the body interior but its a possibilty. i just keep getting puddles, more so on the passenger side than anything yet the carpet on the firewall seems to be dry.

Pinch weld area that I assume has been beat back? Is there fresh seam sealer there?

I've been putting silicone on there as well. I keep feeling it and not noticing any wetness. Added a bunch on the interior seams this afternoon. See what happens later this week

Also if anyone is wondering the grommet number is 90950-01959 for the firewall above the cab mount.

Yea I need to buy a can of that also.

Figured out a way to see any holes the smart way. Wait till night and stick a bright flashlight in the cab. It lit up a couple holes, 1 that was already sealed and 1 I had just put some on today.

Does the water seep in even when your truck is parked or just when driving? if water is coming in when parked check your back firewall, aircon evap/condenser/heating lines, and windshield area...hope you solve your problems because I hate the wet carpet smell :annoyed:

I seemed to fix it. Just lots of silicone on the existing seams and over the pinch welds. Still plan to put some flex seal over it as well
Mine seemed to happen while driving and parked. But I think I got it, rained last night pretty heavy and I didn't have anything in the cab today so I should be able to put my carpet back in finally :woot:

Random thread bump with off topic conversation question!

What are y'all using for rock lights? Whats holding up to the abuse? With the flood of cheap Chinese LED pods I was thinking about getting some duallys or 6" bars and stuffing em under the body.

Need some opinions! Links would be great if you have em to the lights you went with. Thanks!

Yeah, its a bit higher than I thought. It didn't look so bad with the bed off, but I'm sure it will settle when I get the rear bumper, rack and tent.

I was looking at that Archive Garage flip. Its a bit different than the SOS. I was able to move my shackle fwd to squat it a bit. The 5" shackles really lifted it.
As you add weight it will def squat. I think a litte rake looks good though.

I could move it forward to the next slot, but its hard to judge when I don't have the bumpers and other stuff :anonymous:
