OP could you give me some measurements on the small in cab switch as I am looking at maybe locating it at one of my blank locations and could you post a pic of the back of the switch as well?

Absolutely normal. The lights are on whenever the batteries are connected. With healthy batteries, they should stay connected for 12-24 hours after you turn the truck off, with no load on them of course.

All of my switches are packed in a box for Expo West. I can measure when I unpack them. But I can tell you that they fit just fine in a factory Tacoma switch blank. It does take minor carving, but they fit

    No problem. One more thing...

I noticed you are running your stock flooded cell battery inline with a new AGM battery. Because of the different charging characteristics between the two styles of batteries, you run the risk of overcharging and damaging your new Optima.

Im not sure sure if we spoke about this before. I just wanted throw the info out there again for the masses.

Technically, all batteries in a bank should be the same size, age, and construction type (AGM, Gel, Flooded, etc.).

The problem lies in the fact that the smaller battery will charge quicker, thus reaching a full charge before the larger one. The charging source (alternator) will continue to charge both batteries until the larger one is full as well... thus overcharging the smaller battery.

That being said, there are plenty of people running a 34/35 or even a 31/35 combo and getting away with it.

Even I have run batteries of varying age and size in a bank and gotten away with it... I just can't recommend it ;)

Looks like the volant is blocking the two forward most bolts (The volant box overhangs the bolts). Would you be able to make me a tray without the middle triangle cut out, no hole drilled near the air box side, and a shorter tie down strap? I'm plan to use an optima battery which looks narrower than the other batteries so i think there is room to bring the tie down bolts closer together hopefully clearing the volant box.

Here are some more pics if that helps.

I can make any tray and tiedown you want... CAD work is 120/hr. Ive had quite a few people ask for custom stuff and then not end up buying it, so now I have to charge for my time.

With that being said, I can try to delete some of those features from one of those trays on my next production run... if you're sure you want it and can pay in advance (regular price, no upcharge for simple deletion). The tiedown strap is a different story. That will require an entirely new CAD file and will have to be completely redesigned.

Let me know if this is something you're interested in and Id be happy to start right away.

Definitely interested. I'm not in a huge rush as I still have a lot of other stuff I need to install first. How often do you do production runs? Or do I need to do it sooner than later with you?

I have the Volant CAI too. That's why I'm looking into just getting the double rack for the driver's side.

Matt has a great kit here! Like he says, everything you need for a clean install. Thanks to @RCRcer for the crimper, got the batteries installed, will work on the fuse block tonight after work.
