What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Got some Recovery goodies from Wheelers. Yewwwww!

 

Changed the rear diff fluid, will do the front and TC this weekend sometime. Greased the driveshafts as well.

 

I have been considering eibachs or 885's and if I happened to be able to snag a cheap used complete strut set, I would be really tempted!

 

I'm running those tires in the same size. Looks good with even a full 3" lift! Those tires have great highway manners for an aggressive AT tire too

Dont hate. Those are florida house shoes. I got em as shower shoes in the desert back in '010. Keep feet cleaner than flip flops and cooler than slippers. Also, there's two important rules in life. Rule 2 is "Never fuck with a guy in crocs. He has nothing left to lose."

 

Removed my LED back up lights (THEY SUCKED!). Went back to incandescent.

 

They been run harder than they shouldve been. Got 30-ish k on them, not sure how much left. Wouldn't feel right selling so just going to keep as a backup in case I get a leak or when rebuild time comes.

 

Seems to be the concensus. Halogens are a good alternative. Just need to squeeze contacts together and dont go up too much in wattage or you can start to melt stuff after a while.

 

When you mount your antenna, I recommend scraping off the powder coat around the bolt holes and the antenna stud hole. I couldn't get a good SWR, and as soon as I scraped it off, it tuned up great. I've got 1.00 across all channels.

 

Added a RAM mount ball to my drivers side A pillar.

 

That's awesome! I've noticed the ride is similar to stock with almost no noise. Can't wait to see how they do off road!

No problem!! Another thing I did that helped was run an 8 gauge grounding strap to the frame. Something else to consider if you have trouble tuning.

 

Relocated my front license plate. Bracket by @ACEkraut. Very good quality product.

Now I can start shopping for a 30" led light bar to go in the lower valence

 

i got this one, you do need to cut a bit, okay maybe more than a bit, but it does fit!

What exactly did you have to cut? From what I read 30" is a perfect fit in the lower valence.

How's the output of this bar?

 

Good bonding will definitely improve radio performance by keeping your ground at a consistent electrical potential.

 

I just had to cut the grey plastic part that sits underneath it because it didn't fit height wise in the back, but after you get it in you cant even tell because the front part sits perfectly. i used the rough country mounts too.
