There are only four venomous snakes found in Florida area: the eastern coral snake, the Florida cottonmouth, also known as the water moccasin, the dusky pygmy rattlesnake, and the eastern diamondback rattlesnake. Once you learn to identify these four snakes, you don't need to worry about the other 50+ species of non-venomous snakes we have here in Florida. (The timber rattlesnake and copperhead are found in north Florida.)

 

i've spent a bit of time in the mojave. i've killed scorpions in my tent, had tarantulas walk across the floor, almost stepped ona couple of rattlers and even killed 1 while loading equipment. it's deffinatelhy a hostile environment.

 

yeah and now florida is being over run by pythons according to discovery

 

sorry i thought if benign it was non cancerous

 

i'd like to go somewhere that desn't have ticks or brown recluse spiders. my wife was bitten by a brown recluse and it took her over a year and half to recover

 

And now Nile crocs I just heard today!!

The pythons are out of control in South Florida.....

 

where in the hell did they get nile crocs from? i get people turning pet snakes loose and them flourishing in the fl habitat but nile crocs?

 

I have no damn clue they did t swim from Africa I'm sure but most likely imported illegally as pets then let loose in the Glades.....

i may be naive my daughter has a pet snake she describes as cuddly ha but why in the hell would someone want a nile croc as a pet i mean damn

 

Happy to hear the surgery went well Blue and that water is flowing again . Rest well bud. they got it all!!!

 

Niles may even survive in Saltwater I believe as well.....

ok i googled it they have caght 3 nile crocs in the everglades they think escaped from a facility from 09 until now

Won't know specifics on cancer for a few days, but, it had grown since MRI 3-1/2 weeks ago. The doc seems to think malignant.....If they got it all, and it hadn't travelled, all is good.

 

Sounds like they got it early, that is great news.

So now what, how many days to recover? I would guess a lot of naps with the old dog on the porch are in order

Orders say 2 weeks off work, then 3 weeks limited duty. 10lb lifting restriction. No problem with that one. Right now I can't hardly raise my arms above my head. I've got an uneasy feeling about all this for some reason.
