Yea i thought i had seen one. But the damn interwebs are so big that i cant seem to find it anywhere. And that is something that i would like to do. It seems like that hump was mad for something like a switch panel

I was thinking about mounting one of those Switch Pro 8 panels in that spot behind the rear view mirror. There is a bezel now that you could use...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/switch-pro-8-switch-panel-group-buy.389851/page-24#post-12418060

You'd want to use the flat version not the curved one so it would fit the headliner better I think. Much less wiring and trouble than trying to fit the carling switches in that spot.

thats not all that bad of a price once you add up doing the carling ones and adding a nice relay setup

I used plastidip, it sticks easily and since your using it on the interior it will likely never fail.

Yes, when i put a new one in i didn't tighten it enough and had to tighten it more. It uses copper crush gaskets to make a seal.

Use a Steering wheel puller, then when reassembling use a little grease on the shaft splines , my wheel comes off by just pulling on it by hand now

Yeah mine came sanded up pretty nice. I wiped it down with denatured alcohol and used the self etching primer I always use on bare metal projects. We'll see how it holds up.

Yeah it's Steve (@sander1036 ) who did that.

I plan on doing that today. I think my approach will be slightly different because I have dropped the transmission and entire front end components (with the exception of the engine)for other things. I will let you know nonetheless.

That looks really good right there. Would be easy to add a D-ring or two right to it as well for extra tie down spots.

I put on this stubby antenna from amazon

Is the reception as good as factory? I like it and may consider ordering one.

Yeah I want to go in the headliner for in cab switches as well. I think it looks the cleanest and is really the only good spot since I have a CB in my ash tray and a double din head unit going in.

Do you have a picture of where your CB is?

Anyone have pictures of where they out there's? Thinking I might just put it on the back of my center console.
