Sounds like you will be sore for a while

 

Let the uneasy feeling go for now, get some sleep then one day at a time

 

It's been about 30 hours since the surgery ended and I'm just now starting to see swelling and bruising around my abdomen. And yes, the pain level is increasing.

 

What did they give you for it? Bad thing about pain med, when it works, you don't think you need it, but when it wears off and you know you need it, it takes forever to kick in

 

They were giving me good stuff @ the hospital through IV. For home pain med just hydrocodone which is semi-worthless.

 

Yeah it does nothing for me, might as well be asprin. Percoset makes me sick. Vicodine and I are friends when I am in pain.

Good Morning 50ers, happy friday, 4 day week yeah. Hope all is well, hang in there Blue. Wife gave me the go ahead on hi-end cooler, got a trip to the Smokies in June. Like the Yetis but wow, maybe a Pelican. Well I hope everybody has a good one.

Ok. Tried sleeping in bed. That didn't work out. Tried sleeping in a recliner. That didn't work out. The chair at my computer desk is actually the most comfortable and easiest seat to get in and out of. So. Looks like I may be on here a LOT.

Pain meds (good stuff) worn off. The hydrocodone doesn't do much other than give me an upset stomach. 2nd day after surgery and the pain level is probably at its highest.

Gotta take care of a few bills today. Getting them stuffed into envelopes. 2 scripts to pick up at pharmacy. Then boredom abounds.

Damn. I've become a whiner.

Several relatives due here later today. One is a GREAT cook! (and bringing food!)

One of the biggest highlights of the day yesterday was getting home to my animals! The dogs went crazy! Then the birds had their moment. Jeni, my Jenday Conure would NOT let go of my finger when I tried to put her back in her room. She's calling me now!
