New Truck, Stupid Question :)

Hello all, I just recently purchased my 2016 Tacoma Prerunner SR5

LOVE IT!

But I have a quick question. Im not sure if anybody else has had this, but when I purchased the truck, it came with a rectangular black decal on the windshield in the top left corner.. It seems to be a little thicker than a basic decal so I'm wondering what its purpose is... Can I remove it?

Welcome to TW. If you bought the truck, I'd say you can remove whatever you want. I'm not really sure what it is.

I plan on buying it out at the end of the 4 years anyway.

 

Probably some dealer added sticker, remove it.
They put something similar on my truck on the lower edge of the windshield. It was tough trying to get my fingers down there to remove it.

 

It's an RF tag they use at the port and maybe during transit for quick vehicle identification. You can take it off and toss it.

Ive been a part of the "modding" community for a long time. I used to own a Mitsubishi Lancer, and modded it quite a bit. I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY trying to resist the urge to make small modification. but I have a feeling I will give in to the mod bug eventually

I want to get bigger AT tires, but its hard to validate buying bigger tires since the tires on it are brand new..

Overall, I've had the truck for about a week now, and I LOVE IT!!!

 

You could always buy new tires and sell your old ones on here.

If I wanted to upgrade my headlight bulbs... what is the best running suggestion at this point? HIDS? LEDS? Stock?

Prerunner? They don't have prerunners anymore

 

Do they not? hmm. Maybe I was under the impression its a Prerunner? I just know its a 2016 Tacoma SR5. I'm new to the whole Toyota truck scene, so i didnt realize they discontinued the "prerunner" line.

 

All of them come in with the same stock height. (maybe the TRD Pro will be slightly taller) No more slammed stock tacos.

 

^^ You're thinking of the slammed X runner. The prerunners are stock height.

 

A prerunner is a 2WD truck with 4WD suspension.

What you have used to be called pre runner, but they no longer use that nomenclature. Don't ask me why.

 

Where did you get the extra 1L for your motor? Is that what the sticker is doing?
