Haven't felt the urge at all. I fact, I've felt the opposite of the urge.

Have you hugged your truck today?

I traded in my Tacoma after two years because I didn't get the mileage of a Prius, it had the audacity to drive and ride like a truck, and after waiting, it still didn't work with diesel!

You're one of the nicest 3rd genners on here. You still have a lot of people to make up for though.

Yep same here. I never even gave any thoughts of trading in. I just gave the truck a once over with a BuffnShine white pad to clean the paint since I already corrected it and coated it with Optimum Gloss coat. I really enjoy the truck. The trans can sometimes get on my nerves with the way it shifts but its not all the time

Definitely not normal. You should probably take it in to the dealership so they can figure out a way to make you hate your truck.

I'd probably still be driving my '96 if the frame didn't break from rust, but now I have the four things I longed for while driving the '96 for 180,000 miles ; power windows, cruise control, a back seat and a third pedal!

I love mine too! No it isn't perfect but it's still a great ride! I drive mine in "sport mode" and bump it up to 5th gear so it never shifts into sixth. Runs quite well that way!! Still have a very slight vibration in the rear but it is much better after adding a shim under the leaf springs. :muscleflexing:

Had mine in shop this week for drive train vibration and squeaky leaf springs. They claimed it was dirt in the leafs so pressure washed them and added grease. It worked for 2 days now it's squeaking again. They said the vibration was from tires out of balance but I can't tell any different since they balanced them and I know the difference between the feel of an out of balance tire buffeting and a vibration...two totally different sensations. Took every ounce of restraint not to walk across street to the GMC dealer to test drive the 2.8L Duramax Canyon 4x4. That truck is a suspension and front bumper mod away from being my next choice

I had strongly considered the Duramax when they first mentioned it. I just didn't care for the low HP numbers and 4cyl. I'm sure it would be great for towing my little popup, but I just didn't know how I would feel about it on an interstate trip.

If you do, let us know how it is. I like my current truck and all, but I'm always open to change and if something better comes along that meets my needs even better, it'll be traded in if needed.
