HAHA Not gonna lie. I did the same thing. Got a pair as a last resort, realized how comfortable they are. and haven't looked back.

 

I did the same mod recentrly, but didn't like how close it was to the steering wheel with that straight extension. Used this RAM swivel mount

and moved it to a slightly different location.

 

Finished up my suspension

 

I didn't like how close it was either so I used a longer bolt like a 60mm I think and 3 nuts to bring the ball out further which allowed the single arm I used to articulate more and swing down along the path of the A pillar.

 

Got out of work a little earlier than usual today so I went exploring. Found some wide open trails and some not so wide open trails. ......and got a nice pinstrip job too

I put my bed rail caps on the truck this past Thursday - they look great!

Made sure to put some padding tape down to snug up the fit







Unfortunately today I had to bring it into the shop because of tranny issues again. On my way home from work last night the transmission started slipping and then having difficulty switching gears and/or just staying in 3rd altogether. I pulled over and re-started the vehicle to have a check engine light on, at which point the codes were checked and I had a solenoid stuck shut and a pressure sensor (I believe) trip. I'll go get the report out of the vehicle and update this if I messed up the codes. Anyway, very similar diagnosis to what I had last fall, which is to replace the transmission ($2800.00 for a used one with 110k on it or $5200 for a rebuild!!!). It's so annoying because I've only owned the truck for one year and the dealer that sold it to me never told me it had been used as a plow... I think I'm going to try to see if I can recover some costs from the dealer that sold it to me by going through OMVIC, as apparently they're useful for things like this. Wish me luck!
