Glad they kept the 2.7's. I love mine and the reliability.

About to pull the trigger on these tires, how do you like them so far?

I have the 2016 AC, gray, 4x4, 4 cylinder automatic and my opinion: (why automatic = I just got sick of shifting old 5 speed)

    1) Here in NWPA hills - it's an absolute dog and I have to punch it often. It shifts constantly too.
    2) Bought front hitch (Curt hitch) fits like a glove - for my aluminum Snow-Sport plow.
    3) No back seats as standard (I'm told).
    4) Seems a bit bigger than my last 2009 - my perception.
    5) Oil filter way up under the truck - just like my 2009 similar truck - but it is a "spin-on" and not the plastic housing type.
    6) In bright daylight I can't see the damn center section where temperature, mileage, etc. resides.
    7) Glove box worthless - yanked out the shelf first thing.
    8) Inside door panels too small.
    9) No key entry on passenger side door is a pain in my ass. I'll never forgive Toyota for taking that out.
    10) 4 wheel drive dial looks just like the heater dials (afraid wife will turn it to engage heater).
    11) Radiator came thru 1 quart low.
    12) Safety issues (in my opinion):
    a. Only 3 blinks with the bumped turn signal - are you kidding, it should be 5 or 6. Don't ya love people who turn their turn signal on 10 feet from their turn, while you slam on your brakes and send your wife into her seatbelt?
    b. Clothes hangers over back windows - that's insane (I moved mine to the side).
    c. Domed front hood makes it difficult to sense edges of vehicle in tight traffic.
    d. Ceiling drop down door - for sunglasses - blocks rear view mirror.
    e. All my tires were over-inflated by 6 psi.

I must admit - the inside seating is on the order of 5 times more comfortable than my 2009 similar truck and I love the "S" shifter mechanism.

So, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how'd you like the play?

How is your gas mileage? And how is the power with the 285s? I'm thinking about going with the same size tire.

Good looking truck man, curious what you did for a spare cause i currently have a 265 75 16 stuffed up under my truck. I'm wondering if a 285 will fit cause I'm getting a OME lift in a few weeks and once I run out these 265's im going for a set of 285 75 16s or a set of 255 85 16's!

Good to hear. I'm having a harder time than I thought getting use to black paint. Been fighting off the urge to trade her in. The thing that is holding me back is I only owe right at $400 and it will be paid off.

Ah ok well if you do get your hands on a 285 and see if it fits up there I would love to know. That would save me some hassle for sure. If you wouldn't mind keeping me in the loop that would be fantastic!!!!

    Thanks man!

Curious how the SR AC 4cyl/MT does on the freeway at cruising speed. Would this be a comfortable road trip vehicle with a shell on? I don't tow but I like to get out and adventure with my camping gear. Appreciate any input, thanks!

Mine cruises pretty good at about 65-70 even with 31" tires! Need to downshift for pretty big hills too 4th but its not bad at all!

Great to hear, thanks. Definitely used to climbing in 4th myself. Hell, the 2.7L probably feels Zeus-like compared to my old 2.4.
