Put the chrome glove box decal on, ordered the sill protector ones but they don't fit my (clearly) non OEM door sill protectors (purchased as oem, also came with fitting instructions from Toyota).

Also put some 3/8" Spear fishing tube in the factory Tonneau to see if it stops the slight leak at the back

Are the TACOMA letters raised and a different font on your sill protectors? If so, then those are the 2nd gen version.

Didn't know if you realized or not, but the custom decal I had made and you used incorporated 2 of the ultra marathon running groups I belong to.

OK so today I went to the dealer Rockingham Toyota in NH with my laundry list (short) for my 5K check up. When I bought my truck the leak was already out about the automatic transmissions being low on fluid. So 5 months ago before I picked up my truck I told the saleswoman (who was great) that I wanted them to check the tranny fluid before I would take the truck. She showed me the checklist at pick up and it showed tranny level good. So I felt good taking possession. Well since I have had it for 5k miles I always felt the gears were all over the place and my MPG was never better than 18 highway and 14 city. I had called the dealer a few times was told it takes time to break in blah, blah, blah. Well today I had them shut off the seat belt dinger, change the oil, they didnt want to they were going to charge me $50. Check the u joints and grease and CHECK THE TRANNY FLUID! After 2 hours they called me and said I am all set the service writer went through what they did and ended with they did not check the tranny fluid and were not going to because that will take another 4-5 hours because the truck is too hot. To which I said my truck has been sitting outside the bay doors for 45 mkinutes and you are just now coming to get me now. What have you been doing what have you checked. He said he has been looking for me I said I have been sitting right ther you walked by mt twice never called me on my phone or over the P.A. I stopped there and said please get the manager. To which I told the manager if I leave here today w/o getting transmission fluid checked I will never be back. The 5K check up states you will check all fluids, I said what does that mean you check windshield washer fluid? He finally agreed and they brought the truck back in to the bay after the service writer tried to sandbag me like I was an idiot I opened my phone with a PDF file on how to properly check the tranny fluid on a 16 Tacoma and said please stop talking to me like I am a fool. Low and behold I watched as my truck was on the lift with 4 mechanics under the truck they took the level indicator plug out and no fluid came out, none. They hooked up the pump and pumped and pumped until finally some fluid came back out. Then the manager comes out and tells me it was a little light almost unmeasurable. I said of course it is measurable there are lines on the side of the container you are pumping from. He said maybe 8 ounces. My guess is over 1.5 qts. I told him they were supposed to have checked this when I bought the truck and apparently they didn't....Well in the end, 5 hrs later, I left with everything I wanted they even changed the oil and waived the bill. Thanks again Sean. And low and behold I drive home it felt different, better and guess what first time I have seen 20 MPG after a drive! The squeaky wheel gets the oil.
