    Drop-in k&n filter on the 2.7 seems to make a definite difference on mine, better mpg and hp for me. I live on relative flat land though.

    What's your engine transmission combo/ final ratio on your pre runner? I have the auto 4 speed 2.7 with the 3.58 final ratio and it does fine for a flat lander, but would want to switch to a 4.10 final ratio rear if we're in the mountains.

    Yes the stock setup with 4.0 auto is 3.727 ratio. 4.10 would be good for mountains or towing.
    I just upgraded to the 2016 TRD Sport, so far I like it.
