Personally, I would not expect a dealership to have onboard experience with any 25 year old vehicle. IMO, you are pushing your luck taking them a 10 year old truck to work on.

Beside, that imported '91 cruiser is older that everyone you will find working on vehicles at your dealership. They would not know what to do with it once they got ahold of it.

 

I know. Pretty foolish, right?

 

I don't even take my 9 year old pickup there. Never have. Never will.
Everything just turns into a battle and then they over charge you and charge "shop supplies and misc". Completely asinine.

Just today on my duramax. Took them two hours and fourty five minutes to change oil, tranny fluid, and rear end fluid. Cost $495.
They were supposed to do an alignment but i got fed up with waiting.

 

So this is my solution to drawing water/snow from the wheel well and collapsing air filters. Prefilter my filter.

No. He needs an alignment bad so I haven't taken him yet to do any romping.

Getting some new parts next week that should be fun.

Okay Marc @SconnieHailer talk to me about valving. I just took Frank out and was on a fairly smooth road aside from the spots here and there that had had water and stuff in them. The bigger long deep ones, no problem. Floats down and up lovely. But the smaller stuff, it's super choppy and all.

Any insite?

Also. Was fun! Romping at 65mph no problem.

 

So you're saying high speed valve is stiff? That's what it sounds like. Are you saying washboard is rough or more in-between washboard and whoops? You know what you have for valve stacks right now? Are you talking just front end? You have a flutter shim in your stacks?

Lots of questions but I need answers

With how much travel you have going softer on your compression and stiffer on your rebound should do the trick
