Update on code P0172 I checked all my vacuum lines and everything looks connected. I cleaned the MAF and made sure my air filter was seated right in the air box. The MAF did look a little dirty. I reset the ECU. So now I just need to drive it and see if the code comes back. I'll keep you guys posted.

vacuum leak...visual inspection won't cut it.
old school way of finding vacuum leaks is a can of starting fluid sprayed sparingly around the vacuum lines and intake connections while the engine is running and listen for an rpm change.

An unlit bottle of propane will work too with less chance of igniting. Might be a better idea.

Edit, or do what I did and replace ALL the vacuum lines. This is the best bet if you haven't done so already.
Not saying it's the cure for the problem, just something to check.

Fuel system too rich, don't see those very often. Check the Airflow meter 1st. from there I would need some scan tool data to proceed. One other think I though of, make sure the ground on the side of the intake plenum is tight.

I didn't change any vacuum lines. I just might change them. Thanks

I cleaned the MAF. I'll also check the ground too. Thanks

Ray, I see you got some spares in your bed now. Looks cool man! Can you snap a pic of how you set that up? I'm debating on where I want to put my spare and trying to figure out if I'd even need 2 spares. Also, how did you set up those plates for your cage that went on your frame? With the bolts sticking up from them. I really like that idea. I'm about to build my cage very soon, like tomorrow. We are going to have to go to the dunes sometime man.

Damn, you built the cage already! Word. Set my pinion angle today. Getting ready to cycle shocks. Here's where I'm at. Had to put weight in the bed so the springs sat at ride height.

There are better ideas out there on how to bolt to the frame. Some people use tube with a cap and drill threw the middle to run the bolt. It looks so much cleaner.

Can you explain a little more man? I'm about to build mine really soon. I'd definitely do what you think is best. So like a cap that the cage sits down into, a little larger that the cage tubes?

Like this. See the short tube. It has a bolt that goes in there.

Ahh, I see. So a bolt goes down through those through the frame. I like that! Think I'll try this method. Plus you won't have to cut the bed any, just a few holes.
