Used the truck for check point communications for the local Tour de Cure.

 

Did you build the trailer hitch, mast mount? I love those Arrow dual band j-Poles, fantastic antennas, that are cheap and durable!

 

I bought the hitch mount and the mast. The hitch mount can be made though. I need an extension for it so I can put the tailgate down. First time using that antenna but a few people in my radio club recommended it.

 

As said use a small flathead screw driver and patience. Just bend the tabs slowly and push with your other thumb.

The're in one one of the spare bedrooms the wife doesn't go into. She doesn't know yet . Plus it's raining cats and dogs here and wouldn't want them to get a cold LOL. Just wish they were on the truck so I could try them out .

 

Installed dashcam ,fusetap, 12v to 5v converter, bout 15 mins to install the mirror covers it from my view, it's pushed aside for install total cost <90$

Got a new magnaflow muffler. Sounds much better! Installed Firestone ride right air bags. First pic before second pic after with 20psi. Installed a UG to see those temps when pulling.

 

Bought one at costco in a whim, mostly because when it takes a sh÷t I can return it it's a cobra 840, there are cheap install kits for 9$ on Amazon, but I bought a high quality 12v to 5v converter and wired it into a 2m usb cable that I cannabalized . I'm going to install one in the back window by tapping into the 12v power at my JBL amp behind the rear passenter seat the next one I'm going to buy is like 60$, gets great reviews

Getting ready for the rainy season here in Florida with new wiper inserts.

 

Changing the rear diff fluid and transfer case as I type this. Waiting on the ECGS tools to arrive courtesy of another TW member so I can I install my bushing at the same time I change the fluid.

Installed a factory roof rack......

 

I painted my grill last summer but I didn't use color matched paint. I repainted it with the correct black. I also coated the lower dark grey plastic valance and my rear bumper in Monstaliner.

 

Installing an aux fuse block. Got tired of all the inline fuses and add-a-fuses. Still have more wires to hook up.

 

I emptied out my oil catch can for the first time. Installed 3 weeks ago. About 700 miles. Chocolate milk shake anyone?
