I actually like everything about the Tacoma except the lack of power, but that's not an option so its a moot point. Looking at the Tundra for the extra cab/bed space. I'm looking more and more at turning a rig into an expedition type rig more than prerunner. I do like the fact that performance mods should be out a lot sooner for the Tundra than the Tacoma too. Do I "need" the Tundra no but I want it. Just trying to justify whether I really need to jump on it now or later.

I do think that it does lack torque but if you get on it I believe that it is faster than a stock second gen. What I have come to the conclusion is that you have to drive it with like ect power on or put in sport mode and set it to not go past 5th gear because 6th is the killer. I think a CAI and nice exhaust can make things better.

I watched a video of all the stock generations on a dyno and on the 1/4 mile, 2nd gen smoked them in nearly every category. I'll see if i can find it.

2nd gen is the best gen! Trump for president ! *mic drop*

Pretty sure ive seen that but they were also testing in Colorado with the heaviest model trucks (double cab 4x) and they clearly didnt know how to power brake or anything. All they did was mash the gas pedal

I know with mine, anything under 60mph, the acceleration sucks ass, but if I'm already at 70ish, hitting 100mph to pass someone it goes pretty quick.

On a side note, what's the chances any vendors at Hot Import Nights will have anything for the new Tacoma, fingers crossed I guess, otherwise, I guess looking at all the stick figure girls with big fake ass implants will help pass the time :p

I went camping Wednesday morning with the guys and to Expo 2016 West on Friday morning. WOW is all I can say. Exhibits were great, but most impressive were all the EarthRoamers and big 6 wheel Unimog monsters cruising around Mormon Lake Wednesday. Lots of nice Tacomas as well.

Modified with my bfh, my transfer case exhaust shield and stock t case skid to both be heat shields for my exhaust reroute. Needs some paint but pretty happy with the end result. 20160521_171123.jpg

I'm driving with Airaids prototype CAI on my truck and it really does make a difference. Drove like a dream up to the expo today. Went through Payson and never did the truck feel bogged down.

Damn pork butt stalled out at 169 for an 1.5 hours at 225. So I pulled it after 8 hours of cooking, wrapped it in foil, cranked it up to 275. It's been stuck at 189 now for 30 mins....so damn hungry

Came out well, I'm just gonna have to figure out a way to make it better. Some of it was kinda bitter.
